Masterclass supply chain design

Every supply chain is unique and constantly changing. This master class provides full insight into the design, operation, control and management of the supply chain. Each component is addressed and the selection parameters are clearly defined. Change management and digitisation are fundamental to a sustainable solution. If you want more insights into Smart Supply Chains, you've come to the right place!

Content

Thanks to our masterclass supply chain design, you ensure lasting strategic improvements in your organisation. You focus on the entire logistics chain and look at how the supply chain strategy can be defined clearly and how operation takes over to realise the strategy.

The focus is on organisation, on time delivery, optimisation of stock and warehouse operation, responsive production, well controlled and affordable transport and most of all the interrelationships between these components and the integration supported by a well adapted ICT and organisational structure.

A selection of the topics that will be covered during the programme:

  • Characteristics, objectives, operation, supply chain structure
  • Integration, typology of products, customers, decoupling points
  • Customer service as the starting point for building the supply chain
  • Master data and information flows for steering and controlling the supply chain
  • Typology of products and target groups
  • Role and management of stocks + optimisation
  • Role and control of warehouse + optimisation
  • Role and control of production + optimisation
  • Role and control of transport + optimisation
  • Concepts for Lean and Smart supply chains
  • Integration and data support
  • Roadmap to a Smart Supply Chain

After this programme you will have insight into the selection parameters for the elaboration and/or improvement of a supply chain. You will be aware of the possible trade offs between the logistics sub-domains and you will be able to define and optimise the costs and their impact on the supply chain. You gain insight into the various practical lean tools and are able to apply them. During the course you will acquire the practical competence by interactive discussion of the learned concepts and by practical case studies and practical assignments.

Target group and Organisation

The training is aimed at logistics interested parties who are involved in the entire supply chain from raw material to customer, or those in warehouse management, inventory management, production management, transport management, information management, personnel management........ want to contribute to the realisation of innovative concepts in order to optimise customer satisfaction and cost evolution.

Consultants, software specialists, trainers, accountants who need a practical insight into stock management will also find what they are looking for here.

This training consists of a unique mix of interactive workshops and e-learning. As a course participant, you will gain access to the online learning platform, where you will not only find in-depth theory, but also practical examples and exercises.

During the e-learning you will have the time to get acquainted with the concepts that will be discussed in the workshop and to practice these in advance. In addition, a forum will also be made available. This will be the 'place' for questions and discussions with the fellow students and the teacher. In this way the group dynamics will be strengthened both online and offline.

The 5 digital workshops or the 3 physical workshops are organised at fixed times and both the instructor and all students take part. The workshops serve to provide further clarification of the theory and to make more complex exercises aimed at its practical application. Experiences are also exchanged between the course members. Active participation and dialogue between lecturers and course members is always central to the workshops.
